Hanukkah

This workshop brings to light the significance of Hanukkah as a testimony to the tenacity of the Jewish people both ancient and modern. Participants explore how to make this eight-day celebration into something both inspiring and fun.

• The story of Hanukkah and its themes 
• Contrast between ancient gods and the Hebrew God during Maccabean times
• Symbols and rituals of Hanukkah and their history and meanings
• Significance of the color blue in Judaism
• Making Hanukkah a joyous and meaningful celebration

Each participant will receive a Hanukkah celebration home booklet, activities for each day of Hanukkah, and other materials designed to enhance Hanukkah celebrations.
